Freedom to Choose

Have you ever said “___ made me so mad”, “I didn’t have a choice” or “there was nothing else I could do”? Others may influence your decisions, but ultimately, the choice is yours.

So what do we choose? The Declaration of Independence of the United States of America says that we have “certain unalienable Rights”. One of these rights is “the pursuit of Happiness.” We are not guaranteed happiness, merely the pursuit of it. Whether we achieve happiness or not is based on the choices we make.

Do you remember this phrase, “the Devil made me do it”? NO HE DIDN’T! The Devil, his minions, or others may have had an influence on you to make a wrong choice, but you made the choice! Always remember, our right to freedom of choice is something that can never be taken away from us unless we choose to let it be taken away.
